Buzzword of the Day — Passion
A common buzzword these days is passion.
In many social circles people are expected to use the word to describe their pursuits. People are not expected to enjoy their pursuits, vocation, or profession. Or to be “merely” satisfied or content.
They are expected to have a passion for their endeavors.
In the job search world, passion is a word used to describe somebody who will work 80 hours per week. This is the search for people who “work hard” and “play hard.”
Last I looked, most people work to live, not live to work. Many are fortunate to enjoy their jobs, but passion for the job usually is not the word they use.
Remember to breath.
