Updates vs. Upgrades
With respect to computers and many other products, I do not use the term upgrade. I use the term update. To me the latter term is more technically correct. Just as often as not, when I update software some changes are regressive rather than progressive or improvements.
Breakage seems to be the norm with free/libre software.
Yeah, I worked many years as a tech writer. Words have meaning. I update software.
