Flashing LED When in Suspend

Unlike laptops, desktop systems have no fancy quarter moon LED to help users to know when the system is in suspend mode. The default design behavior for desktops is to flash the power LED.

Annoying.

As hell.

Without a dedicated indicator I do not have a solution. The problem is in the BIOS. I have different desktop motherboards: Asus, Biostar, Gigabyte. All of them use blinking to indicate suspend. All use some form of an AMI BIOS.

For all of the engineering skills BIOS developers might possess, I am puzzled why they cannot design a better method. A separate header pin on the motherboard would be nice. Or dual colors for the power LED.

Annoying and lazy design.
