Corrupted Disk Redux
This past summer I experienced a corrupted disk in my VirtualBox virtual machine (VM) used to remotely access work infrastructure. I again experienced the problem.
This time I happened to pay attention. I deleted a snapshot while the VM was running. The last time this happened I suspected the same event but had not paid attention. While two occurrences is insufficient data, I'm reasonably confident of the correlation.
Perhaps this is a bug. Perhaps not. Seems to me that if deleting a snapshot while running a VM is hazardous there should be a safeguard preventing the deletion until the VM is closed.
Yay for backups.
