Xfce4 Power Manager
Configuring the Xfce power manager is a tad quirky.
In the Session and Startup->Application Autostart
, ensure the Power Manager Daemon is enabled. At this point the power manager doesn’t yet do anything. To have the power manager control the computer, right-click on the panel and select Panel->Add New Items->Power Manager Plugin
.
Except this produces two panel icons.
Select the smaller icon to access the preferences. In the General
tab disable/uncheck the Show system tray icon
.
