Googer Teller
I ran across an interesting little tool that emits an audio beep to reveal how much web browsing is tied into the Google infrastructure.
Grepping the house network dnsmasq log show that the only Google IP address that my blocking strategy allows is googlevideo.com. A few youtube videos every month — through a VPN, is not going to cause sleep loss.
Looks like that interesting little tool would make almost no meaningful noise on the house network computers. That made me smile.
